CRB Liaison Officer Training

In order to be able to process CRB Disclosures in your school the nominated ID checker (the Liaison Officer) must be trained on both The CRB Code of Practice and the E-bulk system that we use to process disclosures.

Who can become a Liaison Officer?
Normally, the Head Teacher/Principal will nominate a member or members of staff from within the school or Academy's own personnel team to assume the responsibilities of Liaison Officer.

We strongly recommend that each school or Academy has more than one nominated Liaison Officer to ensure continuity of service.

The Programme
We run monthly half-day courses for Liaison Officers, usually over a morning, in venues around the county.

You will leave the session fully competent and confident in dealing with:

  • Who is eligible for a CRB Disclosure
  • The relevant elements of the Data Protection Act
  • How to process disclosures through our E-bulk system
  • How to track the progress of applications

Making a Booking
To find out details of the next training session please contact Karen Rowden in our CRB Team on 01227 598714 or email karen.rowden@kent.gov.uk.

Prices
Cost per delegate for the Liaison Officer Training is £50, which includes all course materials.
