A Compromise Agreement is a legally binding agreement following the termination of employment. It usually provides for a payment to an employee, in return for which they agree not to pursue any claim they may have against you, to an employment tribunal.
It is important that both you and the employee receive advice regarding the content and implementation of a Compromise Agreement and we strongly recommend that you seek advice prior to approaching an employee in these circumstances.
