Schools’ Personnel Service Offer
and Pricing from April 2012
The prices below will take effect from 1st April 2012. Schools and Academies have each been written to today to confirm individual prices.
The changes you see will unfortunately take the form of price increases, brought about by unavoidable increases in our own cost base since the last time we changed our pricing in September 2010. We have endeavoured to keep increases to an absolute minimum and are confident our 2012-13 pricing structure still represents fantastic value for money.
Furthermore, there are a number of our services that are unaffected by the price changes. The following 2011-12 prices remain effective for 2012-13:
SPS IntePay – Integrated HR and Payroll: £4.30 per payslip/£8.00 per person set up fee. Click here for more information

HR Support Package Pricing from April 2012
There will be no changes to package content, structure or nomenclature. Prices will be as follows:
Bronze Package
The annual fee for this service becomes £1,445 for the year.
Silver Package
The annual fee for this service includes the £1,445 above, plus £27 per head.
Gold Package
The annual fee for this service is £1,445, plus £53 per head.
Platinum Package
This is our flagship service and we have taken the decision to continue our strategy of making it as accessible to all as possible with a per-head price of £60, which represents a return to 2009 pricing levels. As with other packages, the annual fee is £1,445.

Monthly rate
Monthly rates will continue to be collected by Direct Debit and calculated using the following formula:
Annual flat fee of £1,445 + (package rate x number of heads), divided by 12
Charges for the year will continue to be fixed unless we are notified of a change to your staff numbers by +/- 5%.
Upgrade fee
We are pleased to announce that, if you decide to upgrade between 1st April and 30th June 2012 that we will not enforce any upgrade fees, even if you don’t give us the normal 4 months’ notice. In all cases, you will simply be charged the higher per-head fee from the point at which you start on the higher level package.
Example
School with 60 staff currently on Gold Package, decides in March to move to Platinum Package for April 1st, thereby giving no notice.
Ordinarily, the upgrade fee would apply as follows:
- Old Gold monthly rate: £50 x 60 staff ÷ 12 = £250
- New Platinum monthly rate: £60 x 60 staff ÷ 12 = £300
Upgrade fee: Difference between 1. and 2. multiplied by 4 to account for 4 months = £200
The £200 given in the example here is waived for upgrades between 1st April and 30th June.
Moving to the New Pricing Structure
In order to remain on your current package you do not need to confirm anything back to us; we will assume you’re happy with your current package. Ad-Hoc Consultancy
You can of course continue to purchase consultancy on an hourly, daily and 5-day basis. From April 2012 pricing will be as follows:
Hourly rate: £130 (Consultant or Senior Consultant, no change)
One-day package: £595 (Consultant), £645 (Senior Consultant)
5-day package: £2,750 (Consultant), £2,950 (Senior Consultant)
Essential Training
Our Essential Training programme for school management and school administrative staff continues to go from strength to strength. For courses running from 1st April 2012 the following prices will be applicable:
Essential Training for School Management
Half-day course: £149
Full-day course: £199
Essential Training for Administrative Staff
Personnel Administration: £75 (free for Platinum Customers)
Recruitment Administration: £99
Combined half/full-day courses: £65 (half day), £95 (full day)
