Any requests for new RCP posts should be sent to David Adam (AEO), david.adams@kent.gov.uk - (01233 898559), and should include written evidence, together with preferred location, why a post is necessary. He will then follow the Approval Process to determine whether the location meets national criteria (see approval process flow chart). The flow chart sets out the stages and potential timescale for a decision to be made.
If the application is justified he will complete an Approval for RCP form and pass it to us and also copy to the Head Teacher. This form includes the hours per week that the RCP will work and details of the exact location where the RCP will cross the children. Once you have received this form you will then be free to recruit a new RCP.
